Personal accounts of life in the 65th Armored Field Artillery Battalion during the period from 1941 to 1945 provide important insight into the experiences shared by the entire unit, and help us understand events that took place more than 60 years ago. We are deeply endebted to those members of the 65th or their families who have agreed to share such intimate windows into what was often a life changing experince. Harvey Dose maintained a diary from April through November, 1943, which desribes his experiences in North Afrifa and Sicily. The electronic version posted here, was scanned form a xeroxed copy and is difficult to read in places. While we apologize for the lack of ledgibility of some sections, the diary is posted here in its entirety for completeness.
